Dear Mr. Drysdale,

I have been investigating a case that may be of some interest to you.  Since arriving in Mississippi three months ago I’ve discovered that my grandfather and father were accomplices in the 1962 death of Clyde King.  I believe the cover-up runs deep, linking King’s death with significant Mississippi politicians.

The facts about Clyde King—the depth of his injustice—will come to light.  I’m close now, maybe one conversation away from finding the truth.  I will bring you the truth when I find it.

I fear someone may try to get in my way—the powers behind this crime don’t want it uncovered—so I have to ask you to keep this to yourself.

I will be in touch.
